parking & shuttle info

To support a safe and well-coordinated event, parking near the event site will be limited and pre-assigned to onsite safety, medical and production teams. Some areas surrounding the park may not be suitable for event parking - be aware of private land/lots when parking.

Attendees are encouraged to utilize the designated shuttle service for convenient and reliable access to the celebration.

Cornerstone, CARR and the Boys & Girls Club of Coleman will provide a complimentary park-and-ride shuttle on April 18th from 10:30 AM–12:00 AM.

Shuttles will depart from the Coleman school parking lots, at 303 W 15th Street, and drop guests in front of the courthouse. Our drop off point provides easy access to shopping and celebrations along Commercial Avenue, as well as the Coleman 150th Celebration at District 1876 Park.

Guests using the shuttle and parking lot must adhere to prohibited item guidelines: no weapons, outside food or beverages, or coolers will be permitted on the shuttles or inside the park grounds.

The final hour of shuttle loops will pick up from E Walnut St. and Commercial Ave to allow the celebration to continue after the park closes at 10pm.

Security Measures

To help ensure a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment, security screenings will be in place at all entry points for the Coleman 150 celebration. Guests should expect metal detector screenings and visual bag checks upon arrival.

There is no clear bag policy for this event; however, small purses, backpacks, and bags for personal items are permitted and will be subject to search. Lawn chairs are allowed and may be used in designated seating areas on the upper green space for amphitheater viewing. Baby strollers and wagons are also permitted. Guests are encouraged to allow additional time for entry, as security measures may slow arrival during peak hours.

For the safety of all attendees, certain items are not permitted on the event grounds. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, alcohol, air horns or noise-making devices, bikes, banners or signage, firearms or weapons of any kind, fireworks, flag poles, laser pointers, selfie sticks, knives or sharp objects, and professional camera equipment, including detachable photography lenses over three inches in length.

Personal cameras and mobile phones are welcome for individual use provided they comply with the guidelines above. Credentialed media, City documentation teams, and approved photographers will be permitted to use professional equipment as authorized. Additional details regarding media credentials and photography guidelines will be shared closer to the event.

To maintain a safe, family-friendly atmosphere, concealed and open carry of firearms by private citizens will not be permitted anywhere within the celebration grounds during the Coleman 150 event.
